Drug Testing at BB in NYC

What's the drug testing situation at BB firms in NYC (specifically marijuana).  I thought I saw that NYC made it illegal to test for marijuana and business insider reports that most (if not all) firms don't test for weed anymore.  Can anyone comment on the verity of these?  Thanks guys!
