Exit Opps for BB/EB Regional Offices

Was wondering how does the Exit Opps look like for satellite/regional offices for BB/EB, such as Citi Chicago, Lazard SF, you get the idea. Comparing to MM that HQ in non-NYC (e.g. William Blair in Chicago) and NYC offices of EB/BB (e.g. Evercore NY vs Evercore Menlo),  Is it unlikely to get to MF or top-tier HF from regional offices? If so, do most ppl go to MM PE/corp dev?
