EY (Big 4) Strategy exit opps?

Hi Everyone,

I wanted to get an idea of how prestigious the Strategy groups of the Big 4 are? Does the external world see them as proper strategy/management consulting? Would the exit opps be similar to other consulting companies like Accenture, Oliver Wyman etc? Do people move from Big 4 to MBB?

Thanks!

It differs based on what group you're in. Deloitte S&O and S& would be seen higher than PWC management consulting group, EY, or KPMG.

S&O and S& are large feeders to MBA business schools">M7 schools and many corporate strategy jobs.

The region that your looking in also has a large influence on perception - S&O in the states is widely regarded as the 4th most prestigious player, yet in Europe, this is not the case.

In Europe from what I've gathered (speaking to friends and peers in these companies) your best shot of going to MBB from a Big 4 Strategy group is from Parthenon (EY) or Strategy& (PwC). Monitor (Deloitte) isn't as big as the other strategy groups or tier 2 firms in Europe and neither is BearingPoint (ex KPMG strategy group) although this last firm is quite known for their tech consulting.
