Family Friend in London help to get US position?
I'm a sophomore at any ivy league school.
I have a close family friend in Goldman Sachs London doing something in Research (don't really know what). He's probbaly an upper-level associate by now.
I'm looking for an internship after sophomore year. Do you think my friend can get me an interview with the US office in S&T/Research? Or would he only be able to help in London?
I doubt he'd be able to do anything for you in London, never mind NY. Sorry to be blunt.
not to hijack your thread, but would an MD in GS's PIA area help to get into their IB area? I know he used to be in the IB division, but hes been in PIA for 7 years now, so I'm not sure how in touch he is with them.
