Giving up is not an option

Hey everyone,

I am struggling right now. I lost my job back in August of 2018. I was let go from my job because the firm was losing clients left and right. They just laid a bunch of others off and fired the CEO. Before I was let go I wanted to make a transition to ER and was in the process of applying/networking. Since last summer I have been trying to break into ER but haven't had any luck. It has been very tough on my mental health because I worked so hard and have nothing to show for it.

Up until losing my job I worked in valuation and have experience building financial models using DCFs, comps, precedent transactions, and option valuation. I just took Level 3 of the CFA exam this past Saturday. Investing is my passion, I love reading about the markets. I live in the Boston area but am open to moving anywhere around the country.

I wanted to make this post to hopefully get some advice, and maybe even get someone in the industry to network with. I would appreciate any advice or help. Thanks.
