Did you tell someone about the ac problem? Can you block the vent without getting caught? In the winter will you be hot because of the heat?
Had the same problem at our office, I'm a big dude and I'd catch myself shivering sometimes mid-day. We called maintenance ourselves and they came in and tuned it up so it would stop running all day. Much better now.
BillMurray FinancelsWacc The issue is that I work on a long-ass trading floor and the acs are located at the far end of the floor. If we tune it down the dudes sitting at the middle gets heated up from the computers.
Is that actually true or just some BS maintenance told you to get off their backs? If people on the floor claim it gets warm in the middle then maybe there needs to be a change in how the AC units are dispersed long term. Short term you can use hand warmers in your pockets, or just always have a cup of hot coffee to grab when you get cold. I keep a sweater at my desk as well. Hopefully as winter comes the heat will be on and the place will be a more homogenous temperature.
