Have You Ever Felt Like You F****D Up?

I'm sure I'm not alone.  Has anyone ever looked back at their path so far and been grossly unhappy with it and been able to right the way?

Don't get me wrong, there are parts of my past that I'm proud of  can't help looking at it desiring so much more.  I wish I went to a better school. I wish I chose a more exciting major.  I wish I never went into public accounting and grinded my ass off to get into IB.  I wish I would have believed in myself when I was younger like I do now.

There have been so many times that I think to myself that I've f***d up.  I struggled with what I wanted to do until about 18 months ago, I discovered my dream.  My dream is to join a social impact investment fund with a focus on investing in growth stage healthcare startups.  I'm not naive enough to look at my resume and think I have a shot getting into a fund today.

While I haven't taken the a good route to achieve my dream (non-target state school accounting -> Audit>TAS>CorpDev), I plan to carve my path forward the right way.  Make the right connections and gain the right experience.

Has anyone else ever felt like they've take a few too many wrong turns and have been able to right the way?

Do you at least like what you do now? That's pretty rough timing.
