High Net Worth Family Office Looking to Get US Real Estate Exposure

I work at a HNW family office that currently has most of its holdings through traditional investments (stocks, bonds, etc.). We're looking to get some US Real Estate Exposure (perhaps $100 - $500MM placed into open / closed end private equity RE funds).

What are the top private funds out there when it comes to real estate and what do the top funds do that separate them from an average fund?

Thanks for the shout out. I don’t really keep tabs on who’s raising and where to look but off the top of my head you can check PERE 100 for the largest managers and Real Estate Alert has lists of who is raising too. If you’re looking for debt fund exposure, Commercial Mortgage Alert has different debt funds and will sometimes announce the returns they are seeking - I guess you could back into funds which may be raising that way too.
