How do I leverage my search fund internship?

I'm interning at a pretty standard search fund this year, but I want to make the most of this experience. From my conversations with the search fund manager, it's my understanding that I'll get opportunities to work on modeling in addition to sourcing if I'm able to prove myself. I'm entering my freshman year at a non-hypsw target school, and I'm aiming for a BB internship for the summer after my sophomore year bc I'm considering graduating in 3 years.

What sort of internships should I be gunning for during my freshman summer to increase my chances of landing an EB/BB internship during my sophomore summer?
