How to Go About an Important Meeting

Hi WSO!
I have a meeting with a CEO of a large and well known investment fund and I was wondering if anyone has any tips on how I can make the most of this opportunity. I am 18 and have no industry experience other than managing my own account for 6 months. I would appreciate any tips! Thanks!

Don't worry about it too much. They know you don't know anything. Rather than trying to get industry tips and tricks, I'd go with the getting to know the guy approach. How was their college experience, what sort of corporate experiences have they had, anything they would do differently... things like that. Try to make a connection where over the next few years you can reach out to him and he'll actually return your call.

Thanks for the reply! The thing with that approach is that this guy is a high profile individual who has tons of content about him on the internet. I know most of his life story and I have watched almost all of his interviews on Bloomberg and CNBC , etc. Given this, should I still take this approach? My goal with this is to eventually learn from him and hopefully one day intern/work for him. Thanks!

How did you get him to meet with you? Family connections or just networking? In any case, you obviously know jack shit in comparison to this guy, so just be humble and show your willingness/excitement to learn.

To infinity... and beyond!
