How will adding a CS major affect my recruiting in sophomore year winter?
I'm currently a freshman studying business administration at a target school for SF/LA banks, and I have been considering adding CS as a second major. I have a genuine interest in CS, but I understand from reading other posts that it may be better if i just stuck to the BA major and focused on networking in my free time instead of pursuing another major. However, the CS major could open up other career paths, and upperclassmen have talked about how having a major like CS could give me a competitive edge when recruiting for obvious reasons. Getting into tech banking in SF is a goal of mine, and I have heard that having technical background can help with that.
I would greatly appreciate it if anyone with experience in investment banking who was a CS + BA double major or considering that route but ultimately stuck with just BA in college could provide some input on my situation. Thanks!
