I Quit My College Finance Club -- Still Put it on Resume?
Last year I joined the Finance Club at my college, but quit after the first semester (I had a conflict with the weekly meetings, and -- quite frankly -- the club was pretty dull and lame.)
My question is, should I keep my involvement in the club on my resume? Technically, I was a member of the club... but I did quit after the first semester. And I'm just wondering if this is going to reflect poorly on me if it comes up during an interview -- you know, make me look like a quitter. Plus, I quit before I really got the chance to do anything interesting in the club (supposedly, the club got more interesting in the second semester because each member was assigned a "project"), meaning that -- if an interviewer does ask me about the club -- I won't have anything interesting to say about my involvement.
So what's the best thing to do -- have the club membership on my resume because it connotes that I did have some extracurricular involvement? Or leave it off because it may convey the wrong message (that I'm a quitter) to employers?
