To clarify, they were not CC'd. We are talking about two separately written emails.
It's not uncommon to send a thank you / follow up email and for them not to respond. Bankers lead busy lives, it's not like they are waiting for your email 24/7. They might have missed it or chose not to respond. I wouldn't be too hasty after an interview after the first email, else you might sound desperate and like a pest. Be strategic and make every email count (perhaps you got another offer and want to push them a bit), don't send out a bunch of meaningless emails.
How would you word it? Without sounding "Pest" like?
