Interested in Strategy / Ops - Advice for Aspiring Entrepreneur Currently in IB

Currently a 1st yr analyst in IB. Looking to make the switch over to a role with a better lifestyle and environment. Also am simply just not interested in IB whatsoever, I dread most days and feel like I am just not a good fit to be a banker or associate in PE. Not even sure I want to do corp strategy per se, but I think it is a step in the right direction.

My ultimate goal is to start my own company or run my own company one day (particularly in the consumer / consumer tech space). Is growing my career in corp strategy a good place to start if I don't want to do IB/PE/VC? For people that have made the switch from IB, what was your reasoning and have you been happy with your move?

Thanks in advance
