I researched organizations that would include professionals and there contact info. For example, I trade commodities (agriculture) so I went and looked for Commodity organizations. To my surprise they had a lot of Agri Traders from top banks and commodity merchant houses WITH their email and titles available. I was able to get a phone interview with Fortis by finding a name on the Cocoa Merchants Organization. Not a lot of guys here who do what I do, but if you wanted to research, say Private Equity firms, look for PE clubs etc. like Fund Managers of Darien CT or something. Always put the "read" option on your mail so you know when they read it....once they do, call the main number of the co. and ask for that person. You will be surprised how many people will return an email or talk to you. Also, take names when reading the paper/online articles on companies or market news where someone is quoted. find out the email format and send them an email. You can Google “Head of Equity Block Trading” and see what pops up. Again, find out the email style for the company and send it off. If you have a Bloomberg (not sure if you are M&A), just search the names that you have read about, take their Bloomy address down and send it off from your personal account.
Good luck!!!
