Is it acceptable to ask a campus recruiter for contacts?
I got in touch with an alum who I assumed work on a S&T desk at a BB, but she replied to me email and it turns out she is a campus recruiter. She encouraged me to go to the networking events in the fall on my campus, but is it alright if I respond asking for the name of other alums who actually work in S&T? Or, is that too pushy?
Is there any way you can find the names yourself?
For example, possibly through an alumni directory, LinkedIn, etc. I agree that it would be too pushy. Definitely be sure to thank her for her help (don't burn that bridge).
I have spoke with HR a few times and ended with asking them to refer me to a banker from a group I was interested in. I don't see it as being pushy, tell her you want to learn more about the group and culture.
Being pushy gets jobs
