I just got an offer from a boutique IB for the spring semester. The job is essentially research and coldcalling CEOs trying to get them to use the bank's services. They said I will eventually get access to their training and learn modeling.
I want to work in Management consulting upon graduation. However, I know those positions are limited (I only got interviews to MBB this year; for others I didn't get interviews). I figured the above internship would be a way into IB as a backup.
Am I going about this the wrong way? How can I get FT interviews for OW, Monitor and such?
