Keeping job skills fresh
Hey everyone, first time to post here.
I wanted to get your advice on keeping my job skills relevant for returning back to the finance industry after taking a few years off. I have worked in capital markets in the mortgage industry for several years, the last two years as a trader. I switched industries and plan to stay out of finance for about 3-5 years to try and spend more time with my kids.
What are some of the top skills I should focus on to stay relevant when I try to break back into finance? Here's what I'm thinking:
Learn VBA, Python and SQL (I have some SQL experience). Learn more in excel (I was already a moderate level excel user)
Anything else you would recommend?
-Thanks for your input
