Lack of internships/summer analyst because I went to college at 14.
I know this was a sorta unique situation so I wasn't able to find any advice/info. Long story short I started college when I was fourteen and majored in CompSci at a non-target. Due to my age, I was unable to get a finance related internship. I also decided I wanted to do IB very late, around the end of my sophomore year. This year I applied for a couple 2022 summer analyst jobs with BBs as I turned 18 last year, but I'm unlikely to get them with the lack of work experience. Any advice on how to break in? I know my prospects aren't great as non target + non finance related major, but was just hoping for some insights and advice.
delay graduation and do a masters in finance.
Would an MBA or MSF be more helpful for going into IB
lmao imagine getting an mba at 18. No one would take you seriously
Freshman year of college wasn't great as you can imagine lol I got mistaken for someone's kid in classes
haha, why'd you do it in the first place. I knew a kid that graduated 2 years early and he said it was the worst decision he made. He couldn't party and socialize with his friends cause he was only 16. He grew a beard out so it helped a bit, but did you feel your social life suffered. Im sure you couldn't hookup or party with your peers.
