London Consulting Exit Opps

Hello all,

I'm just about to start at a London Consultancy, along the lines of S&/EY-P/ATK/OW. I have always been the type to want to focus on long-term goals and find the optionality of Consulting rather intimidating...

I'm not interesting in PE, which firms actually recruit decent numbers of "corporate strategists" in London? I feel like a lot of these posts are US-Centric, which has a larger tech sector whereas London is more finance concentrated. Do we get hired as data analysts

What do the London strategy consultants end up doing after 2/3/4/5 years? I really have no idea. I know London has a big finance, insurance and fintech sector.

Thanks a lot everybody in advance.

London tech sector is pretty strong. It is not the Silicon Valley but it homes more than the rest of Europe for sure

A lot of colleagues and friends across MBB/S&/OW ended up in a number of corporate roles, from HSBC to start-ups to AWS or Google (or subsidiaries like Deep-Mind).

The number of opportunities is less than the US, granted. But it is a much smaller country with a much smaller pool of consultants.

That said, you might find you even like consulting. Bear in mind that WLB in London is better than the US (this is quite true for most jobs I find).
