M&A Internship questions

Hi everyone

I'm a half French and half American student at Paris School of Business. I'm going into my 4th year in "international finance". I'm very interested in going into M&A. I do have some questions about internships.

• Would you have any ideas about when to start searching for an internship? (my start date is in April until December 2019)
• Should one start in a boutique or an investment bank?
• What are the typical internships for a 4th year student?
