Major/Double Major combinations

Hi everyone,

I am a second year student who transferred from a semi targeting school to a target school, but I won’t be able to be in the business school. I initially was going to try an Econ major, but now I've been thinking of majoring Or even double majoring in something Quantitative like Stats/Math/CS. I am taking summer courses right now that would apply for any of the majors, but what major/double major would you recommend? I would like to break into IB, but I want to end up at a macro hedge fund.

In fairness, I would also edit out the exact college information. That being said if you took stats, it would be easier for you to get into hedge funds directly. It will make your story easier.

As someone doing a finance/cs double major, only do it if you a) are actually passionate about the latter or b) have had a lot of prior experience and can breeze through it more or less. Don't do it if your only motivation is that it "looks more competitive" you're just gonna screw your gpa. Also, macro hedge funds don't usually recruit from ib so you probably wanna get that checked as well
