Monk strap shoes?

Monk straps are big in europe right now. They're fine for the office but I would be hesitant to blow $385 on them because they won't always be trending. If you go for something of a more classic style it will never go out of fashion. Also, not a big fan of brogued monk straps, but that's just me.

If in U.S., just go the classy route. I think I'd like to be known as the guy who dresses well for the occasion but I'd never want to be known as the most trendy or fashionista at work.

What are some better suggestions? I think those AE ones look pretty good, but would love to see ones you like better.

Great quality for a decent price. Goodyear welted, so they'll last forever (with resoling and proper care, of course...)
