Next steps? No banking offers

I didn't get a return from my SA stint (0 return offers for that group), I messed up the 3 super days that I've had so far, all IB classes seem to be full, etc. I'm currently working 2 minimum wage jobs while going to school and the thought of having to do a job that I absolutely hate and has no potential for growth scares the hell out of me. I have a verbal buy-side trading offer but not sure if this will take me down the career that I want.

Do you think it is possible to go from fundamental prop trading to BB IB? I know the technicals extremely well so it would be a story/network thing. I heard trading -> banking as a 1st year analyst is nearly impossible

Its possible if you're willing to take a haircut in rank. i.e. join is a 1st year analyst even you've done 1-2 years of prop trading. People are too unwilling to do this for some reason. I feel like its an ego thing about being a couple years older than the other analysts. Not a good thought process because its a hell of a lot better than entering IB as a 30 year old MBA who no direct experience and a lot of b-school debt. Much better to enter as a 24 year old analyst and either go to PE or be a 27 year old associate without the debt.

Not to hijack OP's thread, but when does the "recruitment cycle" end if someone is graduating in December? I see a lot of F500 companies hiring right now (I'm on the west coast), but wall st. jobs have been drying up.
