No more hope?

Hey guys i'm a senior at a semi-target state university about to graduate after this semester. I currently don't have a job and no interviews in the pipeline. I just got an unpaid internship at a boutique banking firm where i am doing for the most part grunt work but hopefully I can leverage that into something good. But I don't know if that is possible anymore.

Now that fall recruiting is over, is all hope lost?

I know that now more than ever networking is needed but I don't know where to start. I have emailed alumnii and a few have responded but I don't know how I can network with them to help me find a job.

I am currently lost.
Thanks in advance for the advice guys.

Things to do:

  1. research assistantship at your school. most of them pay a small stipend which will give you a paid employment history and it is better than working at taco bell.
  2. network hard, and shamelessly, with alumni, friends, whomever. don't be afraid to be a pest, but no more than 1 email per day.

ya probably too late for the research thing but I should have gotten working on that before. I will keep networking with boutique firms because I think networking and getting a banking job might be a better bet than finding any job at a BB because recruiting is finished for those by now.
