No SAT Scores?

How relevant are SAT scores post-IB when pursuing avenues such as PE?

I went to high-school in Australia and am studying my degree in Australia. We use what is called an 'Australian Tertiary Admission Rank' where everybody is (albeit poorly) fit on a bell-curve. Curious as to what I would ever say during an interview upon moving to the US about my SAT score seeing as ATAR =/= SAT. Is there a way for me to take the SAT? Will they just not bother because comparing my metric to the US equivalent is apples to oranges?

For all intensive purposes, I was ranked within the top 30th percentile of the country. Pretty poor... Apparently this is equivalent to a 1200 (roughly) on the SAT but I'd prefer to just say "I don't have a SAT due to schooling abroad" obviously. I have a 3.8/4 at a target (had to jump ship to get to this target) and am on-track for BB recruitment - hopefully this outweighs the above.

Also may be worth noting, my raw scores were not bad. However, my school was not the best and some of my subjects were scaled down from a weak A to a strong C... But the end mark is still shocking.

Thanks

SAT is only required for those who study in the states, and it is important if you apply to large banks, post-IB, not so much. And about Australian equivalent of SAT, don't worry about it.

Some firms might ask for SAT, but if you don't have it, then it's fine. They're very unlikely to take your ATAR into consideration. I have seen some people take GMAT (pre-MBA post-IB PE recruiting) to somehow compensate for low SAT score (~2000).
