Politics to Consulting / Finance
Hello,
I am a relatively recent graduate from a top 25 university (International Relations) and after working in politics for a year I decided to switch fields and managed to secure a job in management consultancy with a Tier-2 firm starting in August.
I however, have very limited finance and accounting background and was considering doing the Tuck Bridge (http://www.tuck.dartmouth.edu/bridge/) program this summer before I start as a consultant to bolster this (allowing me to perform better and hit the ground running so to speak). In the long-term I think I'd like to stay in consulting, but would also like stronger exit options and think that this could perhaps improve my profile and my "hard skills." Not to mention I think it would be good to have the Dartmouth name on my CV.
Has anyone done this program before, what were their impressions, did you find it worth it?
Finally, would it be an asset to moving into banking if I was so inclined eventually?
