Rothschild & Co Exit Opps Ldn?

Hi,

I have received an offer to join Rothschild & Co Global Advisory next summer. I am very happy about this and given the uncertainty with COVID etc I am very grateful.

Having signed the form, I do not wish to renege if the opportunity arises as I believe this would be wrong given the experience I have had with them such as Spring etc. I also like a lot of the employees and enjoyed the culture I experienced.

However, I would like to know if starting my career here puts me at a disadvantage. I have a couple of applications under review at firms such as Goldman Sachs and J.P Morgan.

Should I do my summer and be happy or should I try get to a better firm despite the awkwardness in reneging? I am not sure what I want to do in the future but I want options and PE/Corporate CEO tracks interest me a lot.

Look forward to hearing your responses. Thanks
