I have an offer at RBC for an investment banking summer analyst position. I'm wondering what their strong groups are? I'm thinking about the 2 years to PE route (ideally) so I'd like modelling experience and capacity to work on big deals.
If anyone has an opinion or a resource they can point me to that would be awesome.

Hey guys,
I'm looking for some advice from anyone who knows about RBC's different trading desks. Which one is the strongest? Most fun? Which ones are hard/easy to get on?
Definitely going to talk to people at the firm, I'm just curious to hear as many opinions as possible.
Equity Derivatives is just killing it! The guy who runs it is brilliant and the team seems really awesome to work with.

This is a league table for Q1 you can google for other quarters or years http://www.mergermarket.com/pdf/MergermarketLegalAdvisorLeagueTableQ120… RBC is amongst the top 10 in US high yield bookrunners not so sure about M&A and Restructuring but dont think they rank as high of course in Canada they typically number 1 or 2 so they would particpate in large cross border transactions i.e. Canada to US or vice versa
They has the best M&A group in Canada but not sure about NYC
RBC in the US is growing rapidly. Very military like culture and you will get worked pretty hard (at least from what I hear). Great shop to be in.
