Hi all! I posted this in the ibanking forum but didn't get much feedback. I am deciding between a Bridgewater Investment Associate summer internship and a summer analyst job at a boutique IBD firm. Any thoughts? I've heard that Bridgewater does not give many return offers which might not be great moving on to FT recruiting.

Lol you must be retarded.

The Bridgewater Associates name will carry a lot of weight even if you want to do IBD full time. Of course, it depends how 'boutique-ish' is the boutique, is it a good/great boutique or is a no-name boutique? The reason why I'm asking is that it simply makes sense to gain IBD experience if you want to eventually go in to IBD even if it seems like it is a no brainer given BAs name recognition.

In short, depends on the 'boutique' and what you want to do post graduation.

As of now I'm leaning towards the HF side. I actually just received an offer from AQR as well. Any thoughts on AQR vs Bridgewater?

Uh sure you did. DE Shaw just offered me a $600k starting base. Should I take it guys?!!??!??!
