Securitised Products role
Hi guys, I hope you will be able to help me here. I’m currently a FIG Associate at a major international bank, and am going through the application process for an Associate role at a Securitised Products group. I have traditionally looked at FIG relationships from a broader coverage angle, and now want to focus entirely in this product set (ABS and RMBS etc) which I personally think is super interesting and an area for growth as investors looking for yield pile in.
My question is, what specifically can you guys recommend which would help me develop my knowledge of the securitisation market? Any podcasts, websites, daily briefings etc to stay up to date on developments? In addition any sites or books to read to bring me up to speed on the basics of the industry, products and the major players? Also any interesting questions or topics I can ask interviewers about?
TIA - look forward to having a chat with you guys at the very least!
Curious what the pay will be like relative to your coverage role.
I’ve not had the discussion yet tbh, but how I see it: - base comp would be above (probably 10-20% higher) - variable comp would be much more volatile, with higher peaks and lower troughs, probably averages out to the same i would expect. Very much dependent on business, whereas coverage variable is quite stable
Do you expect the hours to be much better?
Wondering the same. Following

Repudiandae aliquid laborum labore. Aut enim dolor laborum. Asperiores alias earum sit dolorem. Voluptas consequatur aut odio mollitia porro minima molestiae deleniti.
