Should I decline the accepted summer?
Just a little background. I've had internship at UBS (Equity Research) and Accenture (Research Assistant). One of my former boss recently recommended me to a summer 6-month PE internship at KKR. This is my ultimate goal and I would love to work in PE.
However, I've already accepted a summer internship position at JPM for Operations last December.
At the time, I didn't realize how jumping into Operations meant a death sentence. I thought since I'm still a junior, I would have one more internship opportunity and I could apply for my final dream 'FO' job to pursue as my career.
However, after searching through this website, accepting the Operations summer internship would be a death choice, especially since I don't want to remain in BO.
Any advise?
If the KKR offer is for front office then you'd be crazy not to take that.
So would declining the offer be okay? I've completed the first part of the onboarding process
