I have worked with them directly and I don’t like their UW standards as a lender - their sponsors have questionable backgrounds, seemed to be people who couldn’t get financing elsewhere at times, and a bunch of their own NNN loans to themselves. Not a fan of their culture personally, but just my opinion, not sure about other parts of their biz.

Know a couple guys. Bridge and cmbs shop.

You'd work on all sorts of deals.. literally anything imaginable (balance sheet, cmbs, all assets, senior/mezz/equity). Smart mgmt (public - listen to earnings, CEO is incredibly sharp), sweat shop as the other guy said... juniors reportedly crushed. Unsure specifically what the ranges are (AN/AS etc) but partly renown for very heavy comp. Hear of vp ish level clipping 400-700k. Look at LinkedIn (where ppl came from and where they went after)... Benefit Street is mostly all Ladder guys, a few others have left to banks (JP, Barclays I think) and I know a couple at Apollo now.
