U of T Rotman or Emory for business
Am a Canadian student, have been accepted to both Emory and Rotman Commerce. Price will make a difference if both schools somewhat similar. Looking to go into finance/consulting jobs, Emory has an almost 50% placement into finance and consulting jobs and U of T does not publish their numbers for placements(that I know of). American finance jobs obviously have higher salaries but am not sure if this would benefit me given Trumps policies that make it harder for Canadians to find jobs/get visas in the states.
Emory no question. Rotman is a trash business school, not even top 5 in Canada. Emory meanwhile places across all the top consulting firms and banks, and is on balance a better university experience than U of T (there’s actually a campus, much fewer students, smaller class sizes, etc). U of T will just be a miserable experience (they literally make you apply to stay in Rotman, and require super strict gpa cutoffs to weed people out over the years), and at the end of 4 years of hell you’ll be holding your dick in your hand with no friends, a useless degree, and an insurance or audit job at best.
Emory by far. You did not say Ivey/McGill. Plus you already got an ecom business thats great.
Emory. Goizueta sets you up well for banking/consulting
Where do you want to work afterwards? U of T for Canadian finance is strong
