VBA Material

in my experience, the best teacher was necessity. For example, for one project early in my tech career, i needed to connect to a MS SQL Server database, pull some data, and then push some different data, modified after some calculations, back into a different part of the database...all from excel spreadsheets and VBA....so i learned about ADO (activeX data objects) and the syntax of how to use the ADO libraries to interact with the database...which ADO library to use (i think 2.6 became the default...its what i still use and its been over 15 years)...how to use the various objects that are in the library, etc.. I searched stackexchange and other developer websites to answers to my questions along the way...and was able to learn everything i needed to know. I used a combination of an SQL book, and stackexchange to learn all the SQL that i needed (this was before youtube existed...now i would probably just watch a youtube tutorial before diving into the programming language documentation....but ultimately, the programming language documentation is where you will go for certain details...and as you get more programming experience, you'll find the documentation easier to use)
