Anyone have any info on this group if it even is a group? Dan Zilberman spoke at my school last semester, and his page says he leads Special Situations. Currently interviewing for the analyst program but did not know they had such a group. Also can not find any investments for that group. Any info would be great to hear about the group!

yeah this sounds well out of line with WPs strategy but hey, special sits is sexy right now so get in while you can easily raise $4bn+ off the back of your brand and the market environment
Yeah - watch out to see if they raise a fund soon on this, it's in line with MF behavior to raise a new fund with whatever is sexy at the time.
Not sure it's that appealing - WP pays bottom of street for MFs, and special situations groups really work you. Would be better off going for Apollo's Hybrid Value or Sixth Street given they pay better (and if I had to bet, given WP's culture, SS would have better hours)
Why did this get MS? Recruiting for the group now would be great to get more opinions
In Europe they seem to be relatively FIG oriented
Bump - anybody have a bit more info around this? It’s a real group, apparently they raised 2.5b for a fig focused fund and can invest across the cap stack, but would love to get more color. Thanks!
