What am I doing wrong in Networking?
I have had calls with approximately 30-35 bankers and have had overall good calls (lasting somewhere between 20-30 minutes). One thing I have only had happen once though is a banker referring me to more analysts. To be fair I never directly ask to be put in contact with other bankers out of fear as coming across as rude. Is this common? And should I start directly asking to talk to more people if the conversation is going well?
You should just about always be asking for referrals, either at the end of the call or in your thank you email
Hope this helps
are there any recommendations about how to ask? do you ask them straight up or try to weave it into the conversations
If it goes good to really well and they don’t bring it up, ask! If it goes poorly to meh, don’t ask them but always send a nice thank you note.
