What are exit opportunities for loan officers?
Hello all,
Here's the thing, I graduated from college with an industrial engineering degree; given my naivety and the unstable economy, I took the first job offer I got, which is to work as a credit analyst at a governmental financial institution. Here's the catch, they gave me a one-year training course which contractually obligates me to work for them for two more years (otherwise I'd have to pay them the training costs which is a large amount I can't afford). I recently completed the training and just started working; the experience I am gaining is valuable as I get to assess the credit worthiness of large companies applying for loans. However, I don't enjoy the job and I don't see myself excelling at it or at any banking-rated job. There is a host of other career paths I would rather peruse and I only took this one because it's the first job offer I received (I gave in to the fear).
Can you please point out some industry-related or strategy-related careers that my 3-year experience as a credit analyst/ loan officer would qualify me for?
Thanks!
