What can I expect to make in finance?
So what can I expect to make in finance after 1 year, 5 years, after 10 years, after 15, and after 20.
specifically i would want to the salary progression of different jobs in the finance world from f500, investment banking, trading, etc.
also what percent of people working in finance move up? i mean i guess i want to know what are the chances assuming that I work hard that I will be making the kind of money you stated above. what is the chance of loosing your job also.
i am a very conservative guy and don't like to take risks so don't include jobs like asset managers who are completely performance based jobs.
This would be a lot easier had you said accounting.
Everything in finance is performance-based. IBD and trading just as much as asset management. This place can tell you starting salaries (use the search function) but what you make after five or ten years is down to your individual performance, and a dash of sheer luck. If you don't want to take risks, work for the public sector.
that is a random ass career path...why dont you worry about the money when you get the job.
and losing has 1 "o"...sorry, pet peeve. helping americans one at a time over here.
Cart: Thanks, our education system is obviously lacking in the spelling department with the invention of spell check
Oh, and Bob, do a little research.
fine how about accounting
If you expect other people to do all your research for you I wouldn't worry about career progression.
