Will Looking Middle Eastern / Mediterranean & Having A Non-Western Name Ruin Job Prospects?

The title asks it all. I know it sounds stupid, but I'm honestly curious.

I look like a typical Mediterranean guy with black hair, tanned skin (I'm caucasian on paper, but according to most people I'm sorta in between being white and brown), short (5'8), etc. I'm not Muslim. I'm curious if seeming Arab / Muslim would impact me when it comes to recruiting mainly within the HF or IB industry? I'm open to insight from those who work in other industries too.

Thanks in advance,

Exclaimer: I really am not trying to troll or be racist.

Nope. If anything you'll have a leg up because you "add diversity" to the workplace. Just make sure you add this diversity in a manner that includes dressing, talking, and thinking exactly like the preppy white people that dominate finance.
