Would Appreciate Some Insight on Development Interviewing
Could use some input here. I've got about a decade of solid design, entitlements, and construction experience. Recently decided to move into development and did an MSRE to pick up the finance side. Now I'm on the job market.
I have a second-round interview scheduled with a major national MFR developer (think AvalonBay, Greystar, Mill Creek, etc.). The first round was with a recruiter, and was pretty basic- just reviewing my background essentially. The upcoming round will be with two or three of the top dev people in my region, and is supposed to take a couple of hours. This is for an associate level, development manager-type position.
Have never done one of these before, but I have a few days to prep. Would appreciate some insight into what I should focus on. Should I expect to have to crank out a DCF model on the spot? Or is it more likely to be focused on soft skills, background, market knowledge, etc.? All of the above?
Hi IncomingMonkey, don't worry, the WSO Monkey Bot is here.... I'm hoping one of these links will help find your answer:
If those topics were completely useless, don't blame me, blame my programmers...
Bump
Pretty weird to grave dig a guy asking specific questions about his situation two years ago
