WTF should I do IB to PE to HF maybe

I have hit the wall of confusion! I am currently a resi real estate agent,22, and have been in the field for about 4 years now. My first two year were alright but 3rd year I was able to clear 100k after taxes and expenses paid and my fourth year I put it into full gear to double my income and I cleared just shy under 200k after taxes. I’m at the point of my career where I feel like I am pointless or my position is not prestigious. I have always wanted to become an IB and eventually go into PE and live that NYC high finance lifestyle. I decided to go back to school at SMU to finish off my last two years to finally receive my Bachelor’s but so confused mostly because of money. If I stay in my current field I can probably scale my business to generate 1mil plus in the next 4 years but I heard of people being able to reach 1 million plus in PE before but confused on what to do before I start hammering down on networking and interning. Thoughts? Also, I’m a workaholic when I start a career. Also not shy at all to network and put in the work to get to the top.

you've cleared 200k at 22... essentially working for yourself.. in a business that you think you can scale to 1mm in 4 yrs... and you want to stop doing that to work 80hrs a week chained to your desk making a fraction of that working for someone else??? My friend, keep doing what ever it is that you are doing and you will be much more fulfilled. If that is truthfully your situation, then you are not missing out on anything. Seems like you've had a good amount of success, keep doing what you're good at and the $$ will follow. prestige is over rated. Money isnt.

Agree with the above, stay in your current role. A bachelor's will help you later on, definitely finish your degree

If you really want IB, make sure you put your income somewhere on your resume (or total $ closed) because that is far more than your average RE agent and makes me want to interview you. IB is definitely possible for you - clearly as a RE agent you're outgoing and know how to network, and you seem like a grinder

However the IB -> PE -> HF path is not as common as you think and is many years and hours of grinding. 1 million plus in PE is the cream of the crop, your average IB analyst isn't on this magic path that leads there. At

Thanks for the response. What I really mean’t for the IB to PE to HF part was to start off in IB then transition to either PE or HF. I guess I just have to actually look into what I really desire after all. Any of you guys located in Dallas by chance?
