Letter of Reference/ Letter of performance/ Performance Review/ Certicificate of Employment

Dear all,

I am a first-year undergraduate student and I am about to quit my first job. I have been working at this small private equity company (500mio revenue per annum) and asked for a letter of reference. My boss told me that I was allowed to write my own, and he would sign whatever I send him because he has a busy schedule and would not get around to it.

Since this is my first job I don't know what I should write, and I wanted to ask you guys if you could send me on of yours (personal data crossed out of course).

I worked there for 5 months as a working student and for 3 months as an intern.
My tasks included designing new company presentation (via PowerPoint, both teaser (5slides overview) and a more detailed one). I also designed a pitch presentation, worked with salesforce, interacted with clients, worked on excel models and on several case studies. I also designed there website new (even though I do not know how this would be related to finance, maybe I can write that I can code or should I just leave it off?).

As I said before I would appreciate if you can send me one of your own references, or if you just tell me how to structure mine, what to put in, and so on.

thanks
