Interview
Interview process was pretty standard. I had three interviews (all one on one, although for some people at target schools the first round was a group interview) and a resume submission.
Interview Questions
Most difficult question I got was "Tell us about a time you were part of a losing team and how you and the team handled it." I found it a little difficult to talk about a failure and spin it in a way that still made me look good. I ended up not emphasizing the failure itself so much but putting the most emphasis on how I bounced back and got the whole team to bounce back, and finished it by displaying how the failure turned into a success which an HR person told me later was the kind of answer they were looking for.

Interview
Interview process was a recorded video interview. They typically do an initial phone screening interview I believe, however I had met the recruiter in person so they surpassed that for me. They ask you 3-5 questions that pertain to the company, behavioral skills, and one that requires some quick thinking. A video plays that asks the question, you are given a short amount of time after the video, then the recording turns on and you answer it. I heard back in about a week later with an offer.
Interview Questions
The most unexpected was they asked you to come up with a plan to solve a problem on the spot. You had a limited amount of time to brainstorm and answer the question in a concise manner.

Interview Questions
Why have you chosen to pursue a Part-time MBA? Why is this the appropriate time for you to begin?
I as I touched on in earlier essays I feel the wealth of knowledge and the ability to manage teams that I have been able to do at an early stage in my career at NFA has been invaluable. I also know that there is a lot I can still learn within the industry and more management opportunities available. That said, I feel like the part-time MBA is the perfect solution for me as I want to continue to advance at my current firm but also would like to develop on management, leadership, vision and team work ability so I can function at the highest level while at NFA. Given that I am already in a supervisory roll and am on track to move up another level in the next few months, feel this is the perfect opportunity to begin using lessons learned through coursework and team work at Ross and apply that to situations encountered at NFA.
Tell me about your biggest accomplishment.

After a year of work at my current employer, based on talents I had displayed I was chosen to join a specialized investigative team. This team is responsible for conducting high profile audits of member firm’s which we believe or have suspicious are not adhering to government rules and regulations. Joining this team has allowed me to work on numerous audits in which member firm’s were doing everything from mishandling customer accounts to outright embezzlement and money laundering.
The one particular case which I was assigned to which I am most proud of the outcome is an audit of our two individuals. These two individuals had been operating a firm for over a decade which had been audited on an annual basis by one of the big four accounting firm’s (for legal reasons I think it is better to not disclose which one). Additionally, other audit teams had audited the firm on multiple occasions. Each audit had resulted in very limited findings and the firm was typically given a clean bill of health. However, during our audit which I was the acting field supervisor there was quite a different outcome than the previous audits. Our audit began like any other audit and by the second day were comfortable with the firm’s operations the acting manager left the field and I was alone in charge of the audit. As we continued financial testing there came to be some irregularities between the firm we were auditing and an affiliated firm. It was my decision to explore this area further even though it was out of our normal jurisdiction because the operations did not make basic business sense. What I found was basically that through an affiliated firm and creative account the two individuals had embezzled a over $550 million dollars in funds primarily from large pension funds. As I was the primary point person in the field, I had to provide support for my figures as well as answer questions from our legal counsel, Vice President and numerous other officers at our firm.
