Interview Details

What did the interview consist of?
1 on 1 Interview
Please describe the interview / hiring process.
3 hours of interview in total, 1st hour is 1:1 case study. Get a very basic profitability case for a beauty product company. Second hour is a 1:1 behaviour interview. Very classical questions, for example, what would you do in xxx situation. Final hour is a 1:1 market sizing question, I was asked to estimate the annual income of a cinema.

The process is not stressful, however, I was rejected after the first round. I have not prepared well, I failed to answer some of the basic business acumen questions the interviewer asked, for example, the case study is about a beauty company, and the interviews asked me: if we are going to launch new projects next year, at which period will you do that? The right answer is winter, because there are more festivals in winters so people are more likely to spend more money.
What were the most difficult or unexpected interview questions asked?
The case study is about a company produce beauty product, for example, lipsticks, eyeshadows... etc.
here is the question: If we are going to launch a new product, would you recommend us to do it in winter, summer, autumn or spring.
How did you answer each of these questions (please be specific)?
I said winter, because I am a biology student so I think in winter the skin will be more sensitive, so people are more willing to buy luxury product for their skin.

However, I was wrong, I do not have business awareness. the right answer should be : winter, because there are more holidays in winter, so people are more likely to shopping during winter.

Overall Ranking

Overall Ranking is a score from 1 star (very bad) to 5 stars (excellent) generated based on the Company Reviews of current and former employees at this company, taking everything into account.

The number you see in the middle of the donut pie chart is the simple average of these scores. If you hover over the various sections of the donut, you will see the % breakdown of each score given.

The percentile score in the title is calculated across the entire Company Database and uses an adjusted score based on Bayesian Estimates (to account for companies that have few reviews). Simply put, as a company gets more reviews, the confidence of a "true score" increases so it is pulled closer to its simple average and away from the average of the entire dataset.
