The hiring process began with an online application, followed by an invitation to complete a HireVue interview. Communication was clear and timely, with straightforward instructions on deadlines and interview format. The HireVue consisted of recorded behavioral questions focused on motivation for consulting, interest in Bain & Company, and prior experiences. There were no live interviews at this stage.

The HireVue allowed prep time before each question and enough time to respond. My advice to candidates is to be clear on your “why Bain,” keep answers structured and concise, and show genuine interest and energy. While interaction with employees was limited, the firm’s messaging emphasized a collaborative, people-focused culture, and the overall process felt efficient and respectful of candidates’ time.
