The percentile score in the title is calculated across the entire Company Database and uses an adjusted score based on Bayesian Estimates (to account for companies that have few interview insights). Simply put, as a company gets more reviews, the confidence of a "true score" increases so it is pulled closer to its simple average and away from the average of the entire dataset.

Interview
I got in BBVA via an employee referral. It was an uncommon process since I only went through an interview for background check, they liked me and told me I had got the internship. Then, I took a test from human resources -numerical and verbal skills-, but it seemed more like a formality, though I'm pretty sure that's not the way the admission process usually is.
BBVA is great. Big presence in Europe and Latin America and very focused on Latin American Markets. A lot of professionalism. The corporate culture is always heading towards making everything lean and simple. The Research department is very cool, you get to interact with BBVA board members and with corporate clients in order to offer your insights about economic and financial analisys.

Interview
I had a 30 minute phone interview with a senior banker. I discussed mostly my transaction experience and reasons for wanting to switch to M&A (I worked in a debt product group at the time). I was asked the typical valuation questions (DCF, comps, etc) and asked to have a brief conversation in Spanish.

Interview
I actually interviewed for BBVA Compass - corporate HQ.

Seemed very brief: I applied online 2 weeks before their deadline and was scheduled for an in person interview on campus.

The interview was 1 on 1 and mostly behavioral. I actually thought my interviewer was really nice and it seemed very conversational and fun.

The interview was more on the easy side and nothing technical sprouted up. Though I was not interviewing for pure Investment Banking, more commercial and middle market mixed with the rotational.

Advice I would offer would be to seriously consider if you would actually like to work for a more commercial bank. There is BBVA, and this is BBVA Compass - little more laid back.
Interview Questions
If not this company or industry, where would you want to be?

This I kind of messed up in - Compass is purely Commercial and I said I would like to do Investment Banking. The problem was that not only did I not have a good explanation for my claim, but my tone was more or less suggesting that IB was far better than Commercial. This threw the Interviewer off a bit and they started giggling a little when I couldn't give them a straight answer.
