Please describe the interview / hiring process.
I was approached and encouraged to apply by the incumbent who was moving on to another role -- we had worked together at a previous company. After sending across my CV, I had a phone interview with a senior analyst and HR in the head office. It covered some personal questions and market-related questions (can you tell me about product balances; how do you gather data in a difficult region; how wide is your industry network). I got a call back about a week later to meet the head of the office where I would be working. Again HR was present. It was more a discussion about the regional market; he wanted to hear my projections and outlook. HR asked some more general questions about starting dates, weaknesses and strengths. I got offered the job about ten days later. That was admittedly quite quick for IST but they were in a rush to replace the guy leaving the position.
