Simply put, as a company gets more reviews, the confidence of a "true score" increases so it is pulled closer to its simple average and away from the average of the entire dataset.

1 on 1 Interview
Interview
I networked with a managing director who was a family friend. He referred me to a MD at the local branch who invited me for a 1 on 1 interview after a phone "fit" interview call. Interview went well, I was asked about global market trends, what I thought about the dollar, the Fed, and the effects of potential fiscal policy stimulus.
Interview Questions
1. Where do you think the dollar is going in the next 6 months and what effect will is have on domestic (U.S) business?
2. How many Fed rate hikes are upcoming in the next year and what effect will they have on markets, investment and trade.
3. What S&P 500 sectors do you think are undervalued and what do you think are the best yield opportunities?
4. How do you think the market will react to expansionary fiscal policy in the short term? What about over the course of Trump's presidency?

Interview
The process started out with an informational panel in which candidates learned more about the firm. About 2 weeks later, I received a phone interview with a current analyst. The interview was more fit based without any technical questions.
Interview Questions
There weren't any surprising questions. Questions such as "what do you like to do for fun?", "what area of work would you be most interested in?", "how do you ensure client satisfaction?". Very fit based questions however I felt as though the firm was more interested in a high level of pedigree rather than the personality as many of the employees had ivy league and top school backgrounds. Coming from a smaller school definitely won't play to your advantage in this process and you would need to compensate by expressing added achievements.

Interview
i applied on my college's career link. received a phone interview roughly 5 weeks after submitting my application. first one was with a portfolio analyst. had a great conversation as he went through the internship process and became a ft and has been at the firm for 5 years. not many technical questions just asked some competency questions and my knowledge about the firm as well as why i want to join the program. a week later i had another interview with the program coordinator which was similar to the first round. final round was with another portfolio analyst who praised the firm's low turn over rate. overall it was a very pleasant experience.
Interview Questions
Tell me the most difficult project you worked on at your previous internship and explain how that experience will help you succeed at Brown.
I talked about an ipo i worked on last summer. gained great multitasking skill and ability to deliver quality work under pressure.

Phone Interview
Interview
Applied online, got back to me one day later with invite to Brown Advisory's information session. Went there, pretty sure everyone there got a first round phone interview with a junior level person. Next round was another phone interview with internship coordinator (not HR). Finally would be a Superday.

Things to note: purely behaviorial. It is completely a generalist program where you can kind of choose where you want to align yourself (from FI, ER, Private Client Portfolio Management, etc.) But as for FT, there is virtually no ER position available despite them advertising as such in the description of plenty of opportunities. Virtually every intern hired goes into the portfolio analyst position (basically a PWM portfolio management role).
Interview Questions
Why Brown Advisory? What do you know about Brown Advisory? Most of the questions were not really noteworthy or difficult.
General behavioral questions, working in a team. What do you know about the internship program? To answer this, just go to the info session, you will get more than enough info needed.
