Citi SFA (Summer Financial Analyst)

Applied through both university-run application site and through Citi's online portal. Received a call about 1-1.5 months later asking if I was still interested in the position. I applied affirmatively and was scheduled for a phone interview the next day (Wednesday). Phone interview lasted 30 minutes and consisted of purely qualitative and behavioral questions with regards to my resume and how I would act in certain hypothetical situations. During that day (Wednesday) I received an email stating that I was chosen for a final round super-day in their NYC office for Friday of that same week. I was then contacted by the travel contractor that deals with Citi to make travel arrangements. The super-day consisted of three back-to-back 30 minute interviews that were, for the most part, exactly the same as the phone interview - with the exception of one or two excel-related questions. The pretty standard format I think all other candidates faced was almost like a good-interviewer bad-interviewer sort of setup where the first two interviewers were very nice, gentle, and easygoing, and where the final one basically looked into your soul (legit), tried to make you feel uncomfortable, and see how you handle under pressure. Nevertheless, I want to emphasize that everyone I dealt with through the interview process, including the interviewers, were very welcoming, humble, and genuinely interested in learning more about you. Come in relaxed and they will see it.
